I'm a retired public school teacher who taught history, reading and writing to adolescents for over 30 years.  I enjoyed working with kids, but not always with administrators or uncooperative parents.  My wife still teaches Kindergarten with love and verve, and I feel supremely lucky to be with her.  I've always been a reader, and imaginary alternate worlds are still my favorite subject -- though trying to understand this all too real one runs a close second.  I value human diversity above all else, save love itself.
